Under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Ziad Baroud; Charles’s family and the Charles Chikhani Foundation will be hosting a special event on June 20th, 2010 at the St.Georges church Bickfaya for the inauguration of La Rose de Charles by famous sculptor Rudy Rahme.
 
The art work inauguration will take place at 6:30 p.m. presented by the artist himself that will be followed by a piano concert performed by Philippe el hajj.
 
The idea of Charles’ rose originated from Charles’ friends desire to support his mother on the 21st of March 2008; 6 months after his departure. Ever since La Rose de Charles has been all over Lebanon: on mothers’ day 2008 groups of volunteers went to visit the families of bombing victims offering them a white rose. In 2009 Charles’ Rose visited the SOS villages and white roses were planted at the villages.
 
On June 20th, La Rose de Charles created by Rudy Rahme will be planted in Bickfaya in order to remind every passer-by of the message of hope that it carries.
